Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the American University

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the American University of Beirut, invites applications to fill four full-time faculty positions.

Candidates with training and research experience in manufacturing processes and systems, mechanical design, engineering materials and thermal-fluids will be considered. An earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with good communication skills, commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and demonstrated ability to develop a strong externally funded research program and publish in internationally recognized journals are required. Industrial experience is preferred. The position will be offered at the assistant professor rank but exceptionally qualified candidates with established research and teaching credentials will be considered at higher ranks.
